Where it all began…
I guess it really all started back in 1977 in a cinema, somewhere up in Greater Manchester, perhaps the Walkden area… I can’t quite remember, I was three and a half years old, but where I sat hyper-jacked like a kid thats eaten a lot of sugary sweets and downed too much coffee (of course which, I’d had neither) while watching Star Wars – Episode IV – A New Hope.
It was the first time I’d ever been to the cinema. To the movies.
It blew my mind, I kept standing up on the seats and shouting in glee at the screen. It was fantastic. Mesmerising. Inspiring.
I’d say now in retrospect, that experience has a lot to answer for. It was my first ever cinema going experience and of course, I’ve never forgotten it. We were asked to leave eventually because of the excited din I kept making, “disturbing the other paying customers” so they said… of course, this was absolutely true. But I had no concept of that or cared either way. I saw enough on that cinema screen that day that would stay with me forever.
That’s not to say I only make sci-fi and in fact, I think I’ve only produced/directed one so far… but as it happens, acted in a few.
We actually make all kinds of films and content. But that big screen experience all those years ago was the catalyst for what I love doing today.
We tell stories.
We make films.
Beneath the Lens, Beyond the Trend
Judson Vaughan
“Welcome to Dragon Egg Films, founded by me originally as a way to showcase and promote indie films that we make. We love making films and as a result we were asked by a number of companies and enterprises to create content for them too. As a result, we made more and more client type video work as we continue to forge forwards in both indie film making and high quality video work for our clients. We tell stories, we make films!
Thank you for reading and checking out our site. Warm regards, Judson.”
